Hunting, a sport that involves hunting, chasing and killing wild animals and birds, called game and game birds, is largely modern-day with firearms but with bows and arrows. In Great Britain and Western Europe, the term is used to refer to the hunting of wild animals with the help of hunting, while on the other hand small game and shooting game with a gun is called shooting. The hunt first starts about three million years ago and remained with us ever since, along with other food-producing activities such as livestock farming . In the Middle Ages, hunting was associated with the right to livelihood, the right to own land. After the French Revolution, it was heavily democratized, causing substantial damage to the forest ecosystem.
